1/800 f6.3 honestly Al, I'm a shutter speed shooter. (poss. because I shoot alot of sports) I have a cheapo tripod so I'm usually shooting hand held or with my $19 cheapo monopod. I'll shoot as fast as I can & let the nikon pick the f stop & ISO... I guess I just vegetate when I shoot so I need a smarter camera:D
