Any good by what benchmark...thats the problem mate...bit of an open question. Sure it will take a photo but its all relative. Unknown brand to me here.

I would buy a 2nd hand A60 canon (people upgrade & sell good cameras) way way before buying this camera, but that is my opinion, i assume they would be around the same price.

wave.gif cheechf, welcome to the site!

    I wouldn't buy either one. Here's why.

1/ Neither camera specializes. Both try to be everything to everyone. Those devices usually end up being worth nothing to anyone.

2/ Neither has an optical zoom. That's a huge limitation.

3/ Neither is a brand name. Why does that matter? Many of the big brand names have good lenses. Good lenses make a big difference to the image quality. I wouldn't trust the lens on either of these cameras.

4/ They lie. Neither is 4 megapixel. Looks like they're both 2mp. I wouldn't buy anything from someone who lied to me. Can't trust them.

You get the idea. To be avoided.
    Sid.

Search on ebay for the Canon s20 or the Minolta DimageX and you will get a much better camera at a cheaper price.
