Got Haze?

Thank you to all who commented on my aperture question last night. Now I have another newbie type question. Where does all the haze come from in this picture? I took all the pictures in my gallery on the same day, so it's not like the lens was dirty or anything. Could it be from the splash up of the water? It didn't seem that misty while I was taking the picture. Comments always appreciated.

Thanks

I can't answer about the haze but I can say I like this photo. Very comforting.

Could be that the light at that particular moment/angle was strong enough & reflective enough to show it up.....its just the mist from the falls.

Every time we move we change out lighting enviroment in this type of shooting.

PS...i love slow shutters & waterfalls.

Nice, but I find myself wishing this was a vertical shot so I can see more of the waterfall. The "haze" is fine. It gives a feeling of dampness wish you would expect with all that moss.

    Ask and yee shall receive
This is why there is no verticle shot from down there... The waterfall is a bit large... so it was either get a little bit of the falls and a little bit of the stream.. or a little of the falls and get the whole stream..

I really love both of those! That is a BIG fall, isn't it:jawdrop !! Both are a little soft but if that's what you were aiming for then great. I wish we had some areas around here like that. We are the flatlands though...so no such luck. Beautifulclap.gif .
