Changing categories after the fact...

I have posted this in a previous post but wanted a fresh one to truly convey the problem:
I know how to do categories and how to make the date there and not. However, I am having a hard time going back to old categories I set earlier in the year and didn't show the date and then making them appear. For example, putting in new galleries this week, I set the function to allowing the date to appear. But when I go back to the older ones, I can't edit them. Any ideas??:dunno

Hi, it's in the gallery customization settings, the option is "clean" - set it to "no."
