Red-headed Woodpecker deep in the shaded branches of a large tree at the Whitby Psych. Even at 700mm, this was a heavy crop.

Cardinal which was good enough to pose for us at the second platform at the bottom of Halls Road.

Great Blue Heron which allowed me 2 shots before he promptly took flight to parts unknown. Taken at Nawautin Sanctuary.

1D MkIIn, 400 f/5.6L, BushHawk mounted

Black-crowned Night-Heron juvenile at Cranberry Marsh. These were a fairly heavy crop but stood up well.

What a great series! The cardinal shots are fantastically detailed. And I love the BCNH juvenile shots as well! I would love to add that red headed woodpecker to my collection but they are few and far between where I am.
