They are both very nice shots, Ric, but I'm partial to the first one.

Why is that hawk flying AWAY from you? What did you say to it this time? headscratch.gifne_nau.gif:D At least you saw one. I've gone hawkless for a few months now. I worry something happened to my local "friend". I use to see them all the time at this one pond.

I guess I'm getting old. (dammit) I have opportunities for frontal shots, but I never react quick enough. :cry

I got a closer one in this sequence, but he was flying into the sun so the whimp had his eyes closed!

Very nice. Your Eastern Kingbirds are more brown than the ones I see. Perhaps it is the time of year, molting? Juvenile? ne_nau.gif I love the red tailed shots. They look nice and sharp to me. I blew some great shots last week. I had one fly right over head, but in my excitement some how I fumbled through my settings and inadvertently set my ISO at 1600 on a bright sunny day. eek7.gifcryheadscratch.gif The only thing I can think is while I was trying to set my AI Focus to AI Servo for the moving flight shots I horribly screwed up.
