This was my first attempt at night-time photography. I had driven past this fountain several times before finally stopping to take a few shots of it. Pics were taken off of a tripod with my new Nikon D80 & 18mm-55mm lens.

Comments and recommendations are welcome.

I'd say your first attempt at night fountain photography was a success!

That second shot rocks thumb.gif That sky is great! I think if your fourth shot had that touch of light in the sky it would be the best of the bunch.

All of the shots are really good. However, I think the flare in 1 and 3 really takes something away.

Thanks Cletus for the kind words. Pic #2 & #4 are my personal favorites. In pictures 1 & 3 I was experimenting around with a 6X Cross Filter that I had purchased from Ritz and while I think it creates a cool effect in a photograph, it seems to create a horrible amount of ghosting as well so every shot that I took with the filter I made sure to take without the filter.

As such, below is a similar shot to #1 only without the 6X cross on the lens.
