    YUP. im pretty sure its the black monarch. I checked again yesterday and they have already gone into cacoons. There are 11 total of these guys! I plan to watch them closely maybe Ill get lucky and get a few shots when they are butterflys. thanks for your comments!

    tell me about it! i cannot get a shot that i want with it ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    its a sigma 105mm 2.8 DG macro... any thoughts as to how I could test if somethings wrong with it. Ever sense I got it. its been so hard to get a good shot.

    any one else notice anyting wierd about this? there seems to be almost an "L" shape that constantly appears in focus..... is it something im doing wrong? ever seen this before? Bands of focus? maybe this shot shows it better?
