Hi all. The DW and I went on a walk yesterday at the local lake and of course I brought the camera. This is one of the pictures I took. I really like it, hope you do to. Please feel free to comment, good or bad!!!!

I like the composition. The clouds and foreground almost look like a mark of
Zorro with the lake being the diagonal that joins them. Very peacful setting.
And, I bet you enjoyed the hike too.

The clouds are blown out and the foreground under exposed. These might
be fixed in PS using this thread.

The horizon is also (or appears to be) out of whack.

Thanks for the link. I will be getting PS elements 3 in the next few days so I will give that a try. I'm not sure what you mean by the horizon is out of whack?ne_nau.gif

    Thanks

Take a look at the top edge of the lake--what would form the horizon
line. It looks like the right side of that line is higher than the left. Only
    by a tiny amount.

But if I take a straight edge and compare it to somthing I know is
straight (like squaring a piece of stock using a table saw), it isn't
skewed at all. Maybe I'm just seeing things?

An easy fix, at least a partial fix, would be to use the highlights/shadows feature to bring up the shadows a little. A value of 8 or so is a good starting point. The blown out clouds don't bother me as much as the darkness of the foreground.
