Google search with quotes

When I do a search for Web site without quotes , nothing comes up in google.
But, if I add quotes to the name in google search , my listing comes up.

Why is this happening?
If a customer is looking for me how would they know to add quote marks in their search.
Can I change anything to fix this?

It's happening because when you use quotes it searches for that exact phrase.

For example:
If I search for Pamela Photography (no quotes) it searches for sites that contain both of those words in high priority places. But you might not be anywhere near the top of the list that contain both those words.

If I search for "Pamela Photography" (quotes) it searches for that exact phrase - those two words right next to each other. You'll probably be near the top of the list of sites that contain that phrase.

Yes, it looks like your google rank isn't good enough to rank you higher. Additionally, Pamela is a very popular name and therefore it will be difficult to outrank most of the sites ahead of you. Make sure that you add keywords and captions to all your photos and galleries. This helps the google bot to evaluate your site better as it gives it more content to work with.
