I shot this lady at the same place I shot the Butterflies. I didn't even notice she had babies on her back until I got home and started processing! Bonus! :D

For sure one of the best Wolf Spider with babies pictures I have seen! thumb.gif Though I did come across a side shot that highlighted the babies and mother nicely. These pictures are wonderfully sharp. Curious the color
change between the two shots. I guess its one shot with the one take
    color saturated.

The read on Wolf Spiders is interesting. I recall that they can get quite aggressive in thier mating season. I had one charge me as I was trying to
catch it. Scared the daylights out of me as it came on so fast. Still caught it though. If I may add that in the line of Wolf Spiders, if I have right, is the Hobo Spider.
They look pretty close to the same but the Hobo is dangerous.

Nice surprise for you Jody to find all those babies :D
I like the warmer colour tones in the first shot.

I haven't seen a wolf spider with babies since I was a kid.

    Lucky find thumb.gif .... Skippy

    Great job !
I really like the ground surface ,gives the spider more of a larger presence.
