Replace photo option

I'm trying to replace some of the images on my site to higher res pics. I go to the replace photo in the "photo tools" section browse to the photo I want on my site. The browser says it's uploading and takes a couple of minutes. After that it returns to the gallery page but the image has not been replaced.

Any ideas?

Hi, be sure the image you are reuploading is in sRGB color space, and also under 16mb in filesize, and under 48megapixels in file dimensions.

Still not working. File size 5.14 MB 22.9 MP (2448x3264). I know thst it's not changing because the orginal on the site has a border and the new one doesn't. Here's the Gallery address and the file is # 13 of 15.

Update
I know there is nothing wrong with the image i am trying to replace the original with because i was able to upload it by the drag and drop method. Replace photo still didn't work for me.
