A night out with the Damsels

Went out at dusk for a shoot ,shot with a vintage 70-210mm push pull with a 36mm ext tube ..

    They say lead by example. Which I consider an absolute truth. So your going to entice me out the door at Oh dark thirty with my jammies on, camera slung around my neck, to grab neat bug shots like these. All I got to say is there better be money in it. mwink.gif Hey, let me grab my slippers.

    Lovely shots- what a beautiful damselfly :)

    Now that's one thing I haven't tried- shooting at night (probably because I've got all day to do it) :D

    Hi brian it happened by accident went out just before sunset ,hoping to get
    some golden hour shots and the sun dissappeared behind me ..
    Well it was some effort but I still got of 150 images .

    At first i couldn't find them at the water and then moved to the tall grass and I was surrounded . They only flew when you walk around them.

    Wow these are beautiful shots. I love the reds. I've only seen light powder blue so far. Cool idea. :)

    Not full night just enough light to focus and with the flash it exaggerates the darkness.

    This is funny Theres 3 colors at this spot.
    Red ,light green and purple.
    Now yesterday I went out of town to do a shoot that required 4 hrs of hiking and along the way all i seen was light blue Damselfly's.
    Kept saying I would go back to shoot them because I never seen the light blue..
