In September 2005, we whelped a litter of 9 Vizsla pups, 3 girls and 6 boys. Mom is our female 'Jazz' and dad is our male 'Riley'. Of this litter, 2 of the puppies are active in the show circuit and 4 are active in the field circuit.

I am fortunate enough to be actively involved with the training of a number of these puppies and thought I'd share some photos taken recently during training with 3 of the boys.

It is natural for these dogs to 'point' (freeze in place) upon scenting a game bird in the grass or hedgerow. Although they will also point on sighting the bird, they are expected to do so immediately upon scenting it.

'Tesla' on point...

'Chance' awaiting his turn in the bird field (he already has his first field title)...

Thanks for taking time to look in.
