Outside by my patio I have the georgeous butterfly bush. Lately it has been attracting many butterflies and even some hummingbirds, have yet to catch one with the camera though. But I got these shots of one of the butterflies.

Good shots with excellent colors, thumb.gif a little bit soft however.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Great color, but I agree with Harry. They are just ever so soft in appearance.

Okay, so when you say "soft" what do you mean. I am learning so much and just happened to shoot this butterfly one day. Thanks!

You have great compostion and nice colors that contrast. The softeness is to do with the subject. It appears they are slightly out of focus or you had to crop closely. It doesn't appear to be camera shake as they are all the same degree of being out of focus. It's like wearing some elses prescription eyeglasses. Were using AF or manual focus?

OH, I think I was using manual focus. But I also JUST got this camera and am learning so much still. I find that when in autofocuse things dont seem as sharp. I need a class just to teach me the basics of this camera. I have only ever used a manual SLR before, Pentax K1000. Thanks.
