Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum and this is the first chance I've had to actually post some pics but I've been poking around here a bit for the last week or so and have been astounded by the amazing quality of work - it's certainly inspired me to get snapping much more. I live in Perth, Western Australia and am blessed enough to have a beautiful beach at the bottom of my street where most of my amazing sunsets come from...so please let me know what you think of my shots, I'm using a Sony camera DSCP-1 I think..usually set on 3.0 Megapixels, although it's a 5.0 Megapixel camera....

ENJOY!

L, glad you're here... What a blessing to have that pic at the end of the street. Wonderful shot... Is that your poem? I know you will have a great time here. I have only been here since January and I am having a blast. I know you will too. There is a lot to learn from.

    Welcome :D

    peace.

Very nice shot. My only suggestion would be to level your horizon. It's easy to get it dead on in post. What's your editing software?

    Hey everyone!!

Wow thanks for the positive feedback on my first post!! I'm stoked with that. It is a huge blessing to have that at the end of the street, and even more of a blessing to be able to capture a few strangers gazing at the sunset like that ;) It's not my original quote but an Anonymous one I picked up along the way throughout my travels on the web. I do write poems and things though and I'm hopefully going to publish a book this year with them in some time soon....

Thanks for the tip on the horizon - I think I do that a lot...I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 for post production - but I'm not a gun at it at all! I also use Arcsoft 2000 which is just some software which came bundled with my scanner years ago...

Thanks again for the encouragement - keep snapping!
