The Philharmonic, woo! What does she play? Good luck to her and I am very envious bowdown.gif

The blown out bit on her hair is really drawing my eye. I am no portrait photographer but I know that some backlit photos can cause very pleasing halos around the subject. However, despite the great detail you captured on her face, I can't get over that one bright bit on top. Also he features are a bit on the flat side, most likely from the light behind behind her. I think useful shadows could make her pop out a bit more.

I'm just learning too, so I'm all ears for the advice of the real folks. :D

I agree with schmooo regarding bright spot above her head. Have you tried playing with shadows on this? I think shot also can use some contrast as well. Cute girl and good luck in Philharmonics!!thumb.gif

:dgrin Agree about the blown out spot on the head and the flatness. Some contrast on the face would round it out. Sometimes we just can't do anything with the bright sun. Did you shoot in RAW? Maybe you can slide down the exposure and start over. Or maybe the shadow/highlight feature could help.

She's a pretty girl and I wish her luck with the Philharmonic.

Thank you all so much for your honest comments as well as your well wishes. I will definately pass this on to her and I'm sure she'll love it.

    In regards to the picture...

I took a slightly different crop and added some contrats. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one.

Thank you both for stopping by again and taking a look.

I have another shoot with her today, this time she's bringing her Trumpet (and this shoot is planned). She loved the shots from the last one, so I'm hoping for even better results this time.

    Thanks again,
