Tonemapping a Raw image

I've tried a new workflow I never tried before: tonemapping a Raw format image.
I'm not sure if its an interesting tecnique, if I have to learn how to do it better or what...

I've never done tonemapping myself, so I can't comment on the technique but I'd say that the image looks a bit washed out.

Cute dog though!
