Creepy

This creepy little thing seems to be a specialist. He blends right in with this wild sunflower (helianthus). I didn't have my tripod with me so it's not a sharp as it could be. I guess he's waiting for a bee or something to land so he can catch it.

    Isn't Nature just grand the way it works, the food chain is quite remarkable.

    As Skippy says- a lovely little crab spider.- good shot :)
    This type can change colour between white and yellow to match the flower they are on.

    Thanks. I'm not a big spider fan. Even though a praying mantis can be just as menacing, I much prefer the mantis over this guy! For as mean as they look, the mantis is actually very gentle to hold. I don't want to have that spider in my hand!
