Idea for top banner

Hey, thinking is dangerous, at least when I do it.

But those of you from ADVrider.com know that we have good member photos and take the best ones each month to rotate on an entry page. It's very popular, but the problems are (1) it's work and (2) it makes you go to an entry page.

When Shay posted that stunning New York skyline shot, I couldn't help myself from asking what if we had the three thumbs in the top banner rotate randomly?

I don't feel comfortable with the banner going more vertical than 105 pixels, which is is now. But if we set 2 or 3 standard thumb sizes, I could easily see the banner serving 3 random user pics that were prepared for those sizes.

Your thoughts.

    Excellent idea! If the photos rotate on a constant basis, it will stay fresh and engaging. Good compromise, to sidestep the splash page issue.

    Hmmm...I think that'd be cool. As long as the banned stays roughly the same
    size.
