My girlfriend, my dog and I are 45 days into a six-month road trip across the U.S. (and parts of Canada). I don't know why I didn't think to post here sooner, but please read our blog! You can comment on photos in the blog, and I have also added a link to the road trip galleries on my SmugMug on the main page (just in case you don't care about boring text).
The blog: roadtrip.brettmickelson.com
The SmugMug: brettmickelson.smugmug.com/Galleries/343103
Let me know what you guys think! Since getting online for long periods of time isn't easy, I won't check this thread often, so comments on the blog would be preferable. For context, right now we are in Cody, Wyoming, home of Buffalo Bill, on our way to Yellowstone National Park.
If you click "who are we" on the main page, you can get background information on us.
If you click "where are we" you can see a map using the Google Maps API that shows where we have posted from. (Internet Explorer doesn't properly display the line that is supposed to link marker to marker.)
Thanks!

great trip you are on ...and nice snaps too...loved the x ray snaps in your portfolio ...and you got a cute dog.
Thanks! We are in Moab, UT right now (site of the SmugMug/Dgrin Shootout 2008) and loving it, although the weather hasn't cooperated for us in Arches National Park.

My favorites: Lombad street & #23 Antelope Canyon (cool blues, not as common as the reds and oranges!)
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.
