Thank you guys and gals!
I guess this is the cultural background difference at play.
I prolly not gonna submit it, since it's obviously way too vague for the 99% of the dgrin audience.
So I'm also gonna open my secret: this is a closeup of the middle section of the AK-47 assault rifle, arguably the best one there is, at least ROI-wise.
I was thinking the submachine gun in full auto mode is a fine concept of a "machine". Back home in ex-USSR this would fly just fine, I think, but here in US, military firearms exposure is obviously much less that I though it would be.
Well Nik, FWIW, I recognized it immediately. And yes, even those of us on this side of the pond knew that their light saber was better than the one we were issued!
The image did also strike a sort of mood in me, but I'm not sure I would have associated it with the theme, though it IS a machine..

Thank you all once again!
Onto the next idea...
I knew what it was
And I think it is the best entry i have seen for LPS 11 in a long time!
I like your entry a lot. There is enough more detail than you had in the first version to give context to it. I love the textures and the "feel" of the photograph.
