I'm not usually up before the sun; but seeing as insomnia made sure that I didn't sleep a wink, I caught this about an hour before my alarm went off.:whew

Thanks rustic, I have to admit, I didn't even notice the rays until I downloaded the pic. I don't get mad anymore about not being able to sleep, I just try to find stuff to do that won't wake my wife up.

Thanks Hamster, I always make sure and enjoy a popsicle after the dentist, having only half your mouth taste it because of the novacaine is a sensation not to be missed!

Very nice.
We had a very similar sunrise here in the Bay Area.
Usually at this time of year mornings are either completely cloudless or completely overcast. I was on my way to work and didn't have my camera (maybe tomorrow).

Nah, I get up at 6am everyday.
