Hi again!
I'm trying to decide on one more photo to enter into a local contest. We are not allowed to do any post processing other than cropping, so these do not look as good as they could, but I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts.

This is a tough one; I like them both, and my initial reaction to them was equal.
Reasons to choose #2: I think the composition is a bit better -- the frame feels more balanced, and the subject is completely within the frame.
On the other hand, I think #1 is a slightly more interesting picture: the subject (the dragonfly's head) is more in focus. The mostly OOF wings are interesting.
Really tough call. I think I like #1 better.
I hope the competition goes well for you! I've enjoyed helping you decide.
Regards,
Wes

So it's down to 1 and 3. Hmm. I think I prefer the vivid color and DOF in 3.

Good win, deserved. Loved shot 3, vibrant colors, pin sharp, nice subject.
Very pleasing to the eye! Congrats and well done...

Definitely door number 3, colors and detail in the flower shows what attracted the Bee.

Great news! I was just going to reply that I liked #3 the best and then I noticed a 2nd page of replies. The color of the out-of-focus flower in the background is fabulous and the composition works well - I'm not surprised it was well received.
