What I like about the original entry is the electric cord going to the grinder, the two thumbs of the glove holding the thing and the fact that the sparks are not blown out. It really tells a story.

The first one is very dramatic, but it says "sparks" to me more than machine.

I voted Number one as well.

I think it shows the "machine" in better light :D

#1 is nice, but the brightness of the sparks is too distracting to me. I also like your current entry, but I pick the second one as my favorite. I like the position and size of the gloves in that one. It really ties the two themes together nicely, reminding us that a man is in charge of that machine. I also like the patterns, exposure and amount of sparks in this one. They're very interesting without being overly done.

I studied these three options for quite some time and chose #2 for the simple reason that my eye was immediately drawn to the machine, whereas in #1 it is to the sparks and the metal (?) and your current entry leaves me lingering on the hands/gloves. I also love the pattern of the sparks in #2.

Best of luck, whichever you choose.

15524779-Ti.gif I think your current entry is a better and more interesting photograph over all, especially compositionally. Of the two new efforts, I like #1 best. Of course, I should add that all three are spectacular captures. Pick the one you like best and go for it.

Good advice considering the poll is almost a dead tie at the moment.

It is a dead tie! since I voted for 2 so I could see the poll results while logged in.... :cry I am so F@$%&@&... I don't even know who the judges will be?headscratch.gifheadscratch.gif :cry I normally check out their sites to see what kind of shooter they are... sometimes this helps, sometimes not... any way I'm kind of paralyzed right now so I guess I'll leave the current entry unless I get more votes so there is one shot ahead of the other 2eek7.gifheadscratch.gif :cry never do a re shoot, never do a re shoot!!!! eek7.gifeek7.gifeek7.gif :cry
