Any sources for Linux Monitor Calibration

For reasons that seem good to me, I would like to move away from M$ and Adobe. I have found all the solutions I need in the Linux world (Ubuntu, Bibble Pro, some GNU software, etc), save one. I need an organic Linux source or method to color (not just gamma or White/Black point) calibrate my monitor.
The wikki and other on-line sources indicate that lprof is part of the solution or that one can, using Windows or Mac and a monitor colorimeter, generate a profile and copy it to the Linux environment. For me, not good enough. I would really like an organic solution.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
