A Very Few from Desoto

I took the family to Desoto beach today. On the way out, I took all of 20 shots, but thought I would share a few:

These guys are very little:

I did walk around a bush, saw this spider:

He was high up in a tree and I swear, he was bigger than the birds in the previous photos! He scared me back into the car. Can anyone ID him? Bananna spider?

Short day, but always enjoy sharing,

Z
It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.

The Peeps are fun to photograph because, at least for me, they are not very easily spooked. It looks like you have some nice images of a least sandpiper, but I am not completely sure. They are difficult to identify.

BTW, I like the original BIF better than the PS version. The PS version looks a bit oversaturated on my monitor.

Looks like you had a nice day, George.

Are you coming to Harry's blowout in February?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks guys!

PF: Yes, I am planning on MI5 next year. I hope to be able to come for a few days and shadow you guys again.

Harry: I saw over at Nikonians (nikoncafe.com), that you were over at Viera this weekend. Jessie took a pic of the same type spider - they must be active this time of year!

It freaked me out a little, I am not afraid of much here in Florida, but the big bugs scare me!

Yes, it's a Banana Spider. We just mopved to North Carolina and I found one of them near the house. Fortunatly before I killed it I found out that is is harmless and eats a lot of flying bugs. The guy at Ohio State U that I emailed said that he lets them crawl on his hand, if he were to make them bite out of self defence it would be no worst than a bee sting.
