    hey graphyphotoz!

Give it some time, the turnaround time on this forum is long.. rolleyes1.gif

i'm no pro but heres my take on it.

I like your second photo but it still needs something more. I assume that when creating a album called steel and stone you dont want to just shoot steel and stone.. rolleyes1.gif So composition and light are key here and thats where the second photo lacks a bit and the first somewhat more..

    hope this helps,

I think the idea of steel/stone is enticing but only the second one catches my eye. You have a nice geometric pattern in there echoed in repetition but it could use a bit more pop/contrast perhaps to make it really stand out. The wall on the bottom also doesn't lend anything to the composition... actually I'd go far as saying that it detracts from the nice pattern the beams are making above it.

As for the first, I just don't know what to make of it. My eye goes all over trying to find the subject. What about this bridge caught your eye? Was it the texture, the angles, the colors? It is not quite abstract enough to be pleasing to the eye as it is. Perhaps approaching it in a different angle, stepping closer or farther or with different lighting conditions can help illustrate this.

I hope this helps? I think it could be a great architectural project so keep 'em coming! thumb.gif
