Just got into this macro stuff and it's amazing what's in the yard. Using a
Canon 100mm and as a bonus I found that my old 250D and 500D from my
Sony828 days fit.

Here's a weird leafhopper I found.

I call this one "Stickup in the garden"

I haven't developed any technique yet, so any advice would be appreciated.
Probably a mistake but I've stopped way down to make sure the dust
bunnies fill the screen.:D Yuk!

My humble macros so far.

    Interesting shots :)
The first two are lovely shots of the wrong end of a micro moth - the head is at the other end :)

Ohhhh!! I thought the bug had no head, too! Here I was inventing a story about a bug with no head wandering around the garden.

Make that 3 of us! Looks like his legs are on backwards if the head is at the other end!!! Looks like you're off to a great start with your new lens Allen. thumb.gif

    Hi there Allen,

Thats funny that first shot rolleyes1.gif really does look like the head is missing.
I think the more you do MACRO the more you tend to assess the bug in the viewfinder, and try to get the best angle.

Many times you can see what angle you want to shoot from before you get in close.

You don't have a lot of room to work with doing MACRO and in many cases,
trying to use AUTO Focus is just out of the question.

Your doing just fine Allen clap.gif ..... Skippy :D

Thanks Skippy. It was so much easier with the ole Sony828, could hold at
arms length anywhere. Now with my back killing me from leanin' in, it's tough.
