Orb spider - I think

I'm not sure which kind, but I know its big. Taken handheld with a Sigma 105mm macro and D70. I used the popup flash to add some light. It was hiding under a leaf.

Its been identified as a European Garden Spider or Araneus diadematus

    You got some pretty even light considering you were using the popup flash.

    Your spider has very nice markings on it's back.
