Taken this morning at about 7:00 AM. He is probably about 18 months old and 20 inches tall. Taken from about three to 4 feet away and reduced to 800 X 600 for posting. On the full size picture you can see a cactus spine sticking out oh right cheek, it may be obvious here also.

Yup, can see it here, too, especially in the first pic.

Where did you find this one? I know they're herbivorous, but they're still kind of freaky looking and would scare me if I happened upon one.

Live on about 4 acres East of Tucson and usually have a herd of about 24 wandering through although recently had only had 1 very adult male with tusks and yesterday just the two juveniles. They spook easily, but I talk to them and move slowly, believe I am a curiosity as far as they are concerned

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I'd think they are too tough to really want to eat Dave. :D

Fine image with nice detail. I can see the cactus spine too. I doubt it feels it though. Pigs and I assume javalinas have very tough skin.
