I have never seen a cricket that looked like that before! Reminds me of a grasshopper - and the type to be found in a Roald Dahl story wearing a pocketwatch and waistcoat.

Brilliant colors and excellent captures, naturally.

Skippy- think I won't see the babies till next year- guess the eggs must overwinter.
Schmooo- definetly a cricket- apparently grasshoppers have short antennae and crickets long ones but know what you mean they do seem to have a personality
