Bathing Zebra Finches
There are more than 30 varieties of Zebra Finches, and I believe they are native to Australia. I was able to get some shots of these attractive birds while visiting the Butterfly Rainforest in Gainsville, FL. Lighting conditions were very poor and I had to shoot at ISO 800 and some of them even at ISO 1600. I did use noise reduction in PP.
This first variety I believe is called Fawn
Male and female
I think this other variety is called Chestnut Flanked White
This last one is called.... White.

I had no idea what kind of bird this was until this post.
I photographed this guy last year sometime in my backyard,
seems like the same type of bird. What do you think?

Thanks for commenting. Yes, you got a Zebra Finch (juvenile?), probably escaped from a cage. They are one of the most popular variety of caged birds, and among the easiest birds to breed in captivity.
Very nice shot, BTW.

Thank you, Glenn. I also used Noiseware to do some needed cleaning, however I am pleased with the low noise performance of the 30D.
