so i bought myself a camera this weekend...tried to find an online community where i can actually learn how to use this stuff.
here are my first 3 pics posted here...with the new 60mm macro lens.

think #2 is the best pic from a focus and composition POV. #1 and #3 both have missed the focus on the bugs eyes but can understand it in #3 where I suspect the abdomen colour/pattern was the attraction.

yeah..the 2nd one was edited to make it more white or lighter...the original was a little darker....makes me think its some kind of winter monster scene..
these bug/spider pics are giving me the creeps by the way.

So you got some new toys to play with ... congratulations
The thing to be aware of when shooting bugs is KEEP THE EYES IN FOCUS.
For you first post you've done very very well considering it looks like you've picked some very tiny subjects as well.
Hope you enjoy learning from the many folks here at Dgrin,
