I apologize if this is the wrong forum.
I joined Dgrin 2 years ago, right after I bought my first decent camera and decided I wanted to know more than 'automatic'. I stuck around for a bit, had HUGE help when my grandfather past with photo restoration, and then... I took a hiatus. About a year to be exact. Too much was going on, I couldn't focus, and to boot, all of my cameras (except my rebel) were stolen.
But now... I'm back, willing and able and ready to learn. In the past couple of weeks of lurking, I've already learned SO MUCH! This site is FULL of extremely useful information, and every post I read is pleasant (even in the Whipping Post!). Dgrinners want to help other Dgrinners, and the support and love is phenomenal, I applaud every single one of you.
So, as soon as I had packed my brain with as much knowledge as I could, I went back and looked at some of my photos. The mistakes/errors, could of should have would have I'm seeing now is unreal. Shadows, white balance, DoF, etc... are all sticking out to me. I'm taking this as a very good thing, and it's all because of Dgrinners!
I'll be participating in Assignments, and maybe even LPS (maybe!) but I look forward to a fun and exciting adventure down the road of photography with all of you.
I just had to let you know

It's fabulous to hear that I am not the only one, and it just goes to show the wonderful resource and community we have here.
Here's to continued improvement and great artists coming together and helping each other out!

Hi there Invective, nice to see your back.
You are so right about how much information is here on Dgrin,
available to anyone, and help is but a question away for many.
Thanks for the positive feedback Invective, Dgrin is what it is because of everyone who participates
