AMA Superbikes from Road Atlanta

Not since '03 have I been able to make the trip to Road Atlanta for the AMA races but this year I was able and so I did. I've spectated at Road A dozens of times but this was my first visit with the benefit of photo credentials so it was almost like a new track for me. I spent a good bit of Friday and Saturday morning walking around and scoping out the available angles. Those of you familiar with the track know that this entailed a lot of walking! I had a great time and learned a bunch.

Hey you with the orange t-shirt..(they talked about you in the riders meeting...)
Good accurate colours, #2 and #3 are good...IMO, the rest lack a little excitement.
*However* I'l give you a get out of jail free card because you haven't been track side, BUT, I loved your trip /photostory about 2003! Very nice. Is that your BMW or is it the Suzuki?
PLUS, you have cool poochies....Nice man.
Always nice to see you too...
Road Atlanta is a hard track, especially to get any "racing" shots because the bikes get spaced out pretty early on in any race...

I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one to think that. I struggled a bit this time out, for different reasons. I have a list of things to address. I learned plenty though, and would do better on a return trip.
And, yes, Chris told me about the rider's meeting and my orange shirt.
Thanks for your input and kind words, Andrew!

Ha! I forgot all about those pics. That was my BMW; it's gone now. Dad still has his Suzuki and I have another (650 V-Strom).
I have some feedback from "my" editor and a chance to practice some more this weekend at Summit Point. Nate Kern should be there on his BMW.
Thanks again, Andrew. It's a shame there isn't more opportunity to chat a bit at the races. Always have to be somewhere.
The first group of shots is good but the second group...
#10 in particular is spot-on, as some would say!!
Great clearity too.
