Pool Tournament at my bar
This is my second attempt at using full manual exposure settings both on my camera (easy enough) as well as on my flash (sort of like chucking hand grenades, get it close enough and it will work, but no where near surgical precision )
The bar I work for has a monthly pool tournament and I was asked to take some shots for use in next month's promotion, here are some of the better ones.
1. This shot was ALMOST the last shot taken with my XTi. My large bouncer friend Dennis was breaking (taking the first shot in pool) and I attempted to take a shot of him in action. He was so in the zone, he didnt notice me until my flash exploded. It startled him so much that he shanked the ball, which sailed directly for my face, which was level with the pool table. The cue ball missed my face and camera lens bv about 2 inches. I like to think my dedication to photography is worth a blackeye or broken lens, but I would prefer neither. :wink
2. Ralphie the bartender flipping tin. (In hindsigt /WTB level horizons. DOH)
3. Ralphie pouring one of our infamous Long Island Iced Teas (Rum/Gin/Vodka/Trip sec/Barmix/Coke)
3. One of our manager's with a stuffed rat somebody pulled out of the haloween box.
4. One of our bouncers with same rat.
5. Tall shot!
6. One of our illustrius bar tenders.
7. Its tough to look "hard" when your drinking a cholatini and an blue electric lemonde, even if you weigh 250+ lbs.
