IU Marching Hundred
I got to photograph the Marching Hundred, our marching band, last week for a few days. It was only practice, but it was still fun.
These are just the photos I could do before class. I should have a bunch more tonight.

The one of the guy tossing the Baton up was literally me laying on my back taking the picture upside down

I don't know. It was 95+ degrees, and you could fry an egg on the sidewalk. It was rough, cause I did it over 3 days. I don't d heat
i have a friend in the music dept. at IU, she's actually a voice major.

Well if she needs someone to do profile, headshots, or other portfolio work for her, let her know I am interested in learning

Thanks, but I think I have a long way to go before I even know HALF as much as him
I'm always impressed with your shots. You have a great talent for photojournalism, with mixing up different angles, compositions, and getting everything nailed just right.
All that and I'm still just a beginner too

Yeah, I have a few friends in the band and I know they were excited about it.
BTW, BLASPHEMY!!!
Two things I really need to work on though are getting the sky exposed better, I always seem to blow it out. The other thing is I need to stop cutting people's toes off. I CONSTANTLY cut off toes. Whether it be people or dogs or whatever, they usually are toeless. And it's ALWAYS on my better shots. I couldn't detoeitate people in bad photos, no it has to be the good ones.
But thanks for all the compliments. I'm hoping I can finegle (sp) my way in to photographing the Elvis Costello/Bob Dylan concert next month. THAT would be AWESOME.
Oh how I love weekday home games...trying to get home from downtown when everyone's trying to get in is always fun

2. Depends on whether home is in the same direction as traffic. I have driven in Indy on "busy" days, and because I just so happen to be going the OTHER direction, I get smooth sailing
BTW I was in a mellophone in the Hundred for one year, and my brother was a trombone for 5 years. You need some good shots of the Red Steppers now
