printer color off-epson-help

I ordered the calibration print from smug..the one with alot of photos..well my moitor matches the photo but when I printed the photo with the correct ICC profile for that paper..it came out with the blacks not being true black and the red looking to orange...so is it my printer or what..? hope to hear....janis
(2) Canon 20d, (1) canon 30d, 70-200is 2.8, tamron 17-50,canon 50mm 1.4

    Could well be a printer setting. Do you have color management OFF in the printer? Generally you set Photoshop to manage the colors, and turn all color management off for the printer. It's pretty tricky to get going correctly the first time.

    yes I had the color management off
