Question About Stats???

I am just wondering how accurate they are??? I have a private gallery of my daughter that I have not shared the link to and it says it has over 1200 hits :scratch

Those include your own views as well and many of them are probably thumbnails, which will get you hits each time a page is loaded (unless it's cached).

See my issue was they are all large no thumnails I guess I just want to make sure my site is secure...kwim.

Has it always been passworded? Who has the password? Anyone in your family? Husband?

Have you had ext links on and put these photos on a blog or anything?

I just added the password last night...but I never gave anyone a link to this gallery. I did put the photos on my blog but can they click on the photo?

Those views count as views in your stats
The #s from last night on will only reflect your visits now.

This is one of the reasons why it's nice to install Statcounter or Google Analytics because you can tell them to exclude your own hits from the recording (either by IP address or by cookie).
