Did I screw up? Andy, I just ordered my first canvas last night and I'm having 2nd thoughts. I ordered it with "auto" correction and think it should have been "true". Can you look at this and tell me if it will work? I know it's 'blown' on the guys' head, but it's supposed to be contrasty and my niece loves it this way. It's for her birthday. If you think I should pass.......could you let me know. Meanwhile, if needed, can you intercept and change to 'true'. I think auto will flatten it.
My order is #373560.

Thanks!
Susan

    Hi Susan,

Yeah we're on it. BWs should go true.
Auto doesn't "flatten" at all, it makes 'em pop :)

Thanks! So what does 'auto' do to Black & Whites? Should I be sending in my colors auto or true? I order very few prints, obviously. :D

    Read my link above.

Use auto for your color prints. It will rarely, if ever, harm your print. Only use True if you are extremely good at prepping for print - sharpening, nail the exposure (not too dark now!) and the color (esp the skin tones!) :D

    Hi Susan,

We've gone ahead and canceled order #373560 for you. You won't be charged for it.

I've also taken your original image and cropped it very very slightly to make it exactly 15.4x12.25 for the mounted canvas, and uploaded it back to your gallery, and placed the print order from this. It wasn't altered in any other way. You can check it out here: http://saurora.smugmug.com/gallery/3354240/1/192728484#192728484

I also edited a version to show the approximate wrap here:

Your new order number is #373698 should you need to reference it. You should be all set! Let us know if you have more questions or if there's anything else we can do.

Thanks for your help guys. Steve, I thought I had that sized correctly, somewhere I must have gone astray. headscratch.gif
