your question is like asking to compare bmw, mercedes benz, audi...
they're all high end lighting manufacturers that make great products however you're probably better served by looking at reviews for individual models than asking such an open-ended question.
i know of a well known wedding studio in the chicago area that shoots only elinchrom in studio and paul buff's alien bees and white lightning in the field.
Personal Preference
I think it's all a combination of personal preference, shooting style and location, experience and intended use of the lights. When I did a comparison for me, I bought Profoto Monolights (600 & 300ws) but for me the next step is going to be some portable lighting that I can easily use on location so I am thinking of adding either some Alien Bee's or some video lights to my bag of tricks.
