My local paper occasionaly runs stories on new businesses, so I turned in a submission a few weeks ago. A reporter called me on Tuesday to interview me. They sent a photographer out to get a shot of me last night at the flag football games. The pic was taken during pratice before the game.:wink Here's a link to the article;

We've been trying to get the same coverage for ourselves...so far no luck.

Now for nuts-n-bolts questions: is your password the same for all the galleries or do you change your businesscard for each event?
Do you walk around and and hand out cards to people? Put fliers on windshields? How do you let everyone know where to get their pix?
Any other secrets for success?
I shoot equestrian events, and am always looking for ways to streamline fulfillment so I can spend more time taking pictures ;-)
Warmly, Kirsten

The password is the same for most galleries. Some parents have kids in multiple leagues and sports.
I hand out cards at the games. The director of the flag football league I'm currently shooting mentioned me in the weekly news letter he sends to all of the parents. So when I'm passing out cards, it goes much nicer, since they're expecting me. Stuff like that helps.
