Shot this with my 50mm and didn't have any fill flash. I love this picture, but probably because he's my nephew :) From a photography standpoint, I would like more feedback on it. Would fill flash have made it work? Does it stand on it's own like this?

I don't think I could have gotten the shot had I been worried about flash so I'm just glad I got the shot, but I'd like feedback if anyone has any. Thanks!

From that distance, fill flash likely would have been overpowering, unless you had the foresight to dial it way back before the shot.

About the only thing it would have done is decreased/eliminated the color cast on the face. Personally, I don't care about the color cast. This is a photo all about bright color!

I don't think fill flash would have made this shot better (may have blown it out)...it's bright and colorful and sharp and the eyes have light in them. Nice capture and thanks for sharing!
