I have used smugmug for a few years now and have always liked the service. I always try to plug smugmug on DPReview, a forum I spend way too much time on.

The smugmug team seems to always be improving the service, and for that I am forever grateful. Hope you don't mind if I ask this question as I have a feeling it is discussed a bit here. I did do a search on greeting cards and came up with nothing so maybe not.

Will we someday have the options to do greeting cards, calendars, photo books, and maybe even sports cards? Competing sites are offering these photo products and they can be very popular with customers.

Gary

oops, must have searched in the wrong place as there is some info on the subjects. It seems like the problem is more with EZ prints not providing the service. Their competitors are though if I am not mistaken.

Hiya Gary and wave.gif Welcome! :D Glad you found your way here deal.gif

The answer is "stay tuned" :)

We're working hard on all of that.

The new add to cart interface, together with some new engineering that our Smug Sorcerers are doing - will help enable things like greeting cards, and more.

We know how important Holiday cards, books, and the like are. We're determined to make it happen.

Just to re-weigh in on a practical issue...it's Sept 11...my deadline to my customers is end of October for any shoot relating to a holiday card. If I'm going to offer these through SM, I'll need to know definitively if the feature will be available by Early November - at the latest...any chance on this?

Also, it will be important for SM to identify the lead times required for cards - particularly as we get close to Christmas and New Years - so we can build in the lead time for our shoots.

    Thanks -
    - Gary.

Hi, yes, we are aware of the calendar. And trust me, if they can be made faster, we'll do it.

We're working on cards. We'll get them done as soon as we can. I'd say that if they get done for this year, it'll be a squeaker as far as timing. I wish I had a better answer for you.

    Actually, that's a pretty good answer! :)

    Thanks!
