(seriously unexotic) gulls

No match for the gorgeous creatures you guys and your slick 500mm f/4s take as a rule. Taken with the good ole 50mm f/1.4 prime!

    Those are some nice shots. I love the light and how the face is perfectly in focus with a slight background blur extending to the wingtips. The second one is especially nice. I really like how the other gull in back is blurred. Very nice and you must have been very close. Were you on a boat and the gulls were following? Or were you just on the beach and the gulls were hovering above?

    thanks. It was on the beach at magic hour with a piece of bread. There was a big wind so they just hovered gracefully. Gracefully, that is, for nautical pigeons.
