Hi you'll,

During last week's shoot at Merritt Island we found this Osprey nest. The male osprey was hard at work. Here he is bring home supper. Notice that he has the fish turned so that it creates the least wind resistance

Nice Harry. That reminds me, we have an osprey nest near by. You can see it when you take a river trip down the Wenatchee. Now I might have to go find it.

    peace.

Harry that first shot is awesome, did you get the tip of the wing in at the top?

What is that he has in the third picture?

Was this in your normal shooting area?

sorry for so many questions :D

That is great stuff, Harry, just great stuff!

I'll put a sign on our osprey nest down the rd, "No lodgings this year, you are too late and not good enough".

You just got everything, Harry. I will say, though, if anything were to come at me like that last osprey photo, wouldn't be any lovin' given'.

    Hiya Ed,

    1. Yes, but my crop was a tad close.

    2. Thats another fish a bit more used than the first.

    3. That was on Merritt Island where I go when I have a little more time to shoot. (its a 45 minute drive as opposed to the 15 minute drive to the Wetlands).

I really like that 1st shot thumb.gifthumb.gif BTW, that's the same way I carry my fish home :lol That fish in the 3rd shot looks like it was gutted and fileted, before Mr Osprey took it home.

OMG a D2X!!! eek7.gif I don't see how it will improve on the shots you are getting, but if Linda says yes, I'd suggest you go for it before she comes to her senses rolleyes1.gif

    Hiya Steve,

Those ospreys did a good job. I may have to make them an offer for a permanent gig. :D

The D2X is going to be a hard sell. I may have to make the D2H the compromise camera. :cry And remarks like "I don't see how it will improve on the shoots you are getting" ain't gonna help. So please refrain from such comments in the future.
