How do you move your lights from point A to point B?
I have a comet powerpack and three heads all in an outrageously heavy Pelican case. I'd like to get a Lightware case but a bit pricey $$$
So I'm wondering if any of you have found good, cheap(er) ways to safely tote lights. I'm looking to distribute my kit into several smaller padded cases.
Toolbags? Instrument cases?
Any ideas?

i have tossed the idea around od making my own...but I found that I could get 4 paul buff whitelightening 5000's in a large soft sided suitcase I dound at the Sal. Army store....it also holds the light stands and power extesion cables.....it cost all of $2.50 + tax.....so I nver built one yet......but I was looking to have wheels and a handle similar to a 2 wheeled hand truck.......and the PB WL5000 are mono head lights................

I am thinking along the lines of Art Scott
I am thinking about building a lighting equipment case based on a small 2-wheel hand truck. It would probably be made of 1/4" plywood and be able to hold lights, modifiers, exposure meter, extension cords and also have places to hang light stands.

I don't do much professional shooting anymore but, I occasionally do dog portraiture and that is luually on location in other folk's gomes. It would be very convenient to have all of my equipment in one box with wheels. Just roll in, open the box and take out the equipment. Nothing could be more simple.
