Self Portraits with a Broken Lens.

Broke my 18-55mm EF-S lens.(read about it here.).

Did some portraits today to convince myself that the lens is still useful. :)

    Hi Joe.....Whats with you guys, you kick your camera and break your lense, my kid is about your age, he was shooting a pic of a boat and dropped his rig in the lake. "SHRUG"headscratch.gif

    awww, c'mon, don't just group us together! :P

    Thanks, I enjoy the harsh contrasty black and white user preset on my camera it works out better than when I desat and tweaking in pshop, no idea why. Just easier too.

    I'm quite happy with the depth of field and lack of distortion of this lens. While I find it a bit harder to use without the AF it's still useful and I can even still do portraiture with it, but just not the sit down in a studio type. It's a bit too eccentric for that now I feel.
