Hi Everyone,

I captured these two guys today. The Kestrel couldn't figure out who or what I was and hovered over top of me. I almost fell over backwards trying to capture this shot. I was shooting straight up and then he went the wrong way and I tried to follow.. not a good idea when you are sitting down.

The Ibis did a fly-by just as I was about to leave.

Hope you enjoy.

The kestrel is nice capture if only for the exaggerated posture you caught and the Ibis is just a great BIF. It is nice and sharp with good details.

I agree the posturing on the Kestrel is super, but the Ibis shot is so sharp and just beautiful coloring. I can even see moss hanging from his feet. thumb.gif

Hi Brenton.. Thanks for your comments. I got a great shot of him hovering right above me but I had the minimum focus distance set for long shots and my lens wouldn't focus that close so it is OOF. Oh well.

Hi Saurora.. Thanks for looking. I was shooting with my 300 2.8 so no USM was needed in PP. It is a wonderful lens.. but then an Osprey came by in between these two shots and I just couldn't reach it, I needed more glass, I wish Canon would hurry and get that 50-1200 f/1.4 IS on the market, Laughing.gif (a guy can dream can't he, Laughing.gif).:bigbs
